Sod Installation

Bermuda, Zoysia, Fescue and Centipede sod laid over properly prepped, graded and raked soil so it roots fast and knits together into one seamless lawn.

Overview

What sod installation really comes down to

Sod gives you a real lawn the same day we finish — no waiting months for seed to fill in, no muddy season watching bare dirt wash away. But sod only takes if the ground underneath it is right, and that is the part most people never see.

We prep the soil first: grade it so it drains, loosen and rake the surface, and knock down the clumps so roots have somewhere soft to go. Then we lay the sod tight, stagger and roll the seams, and walk you through the first watering so it roots in fast and knits into one seamless lawn.

What’s included

Everything this service covers

  • Grass matched to your yard

Bermuda, Zoysia, Fescue or Centipede — chosen for how much sun, shade and traffic your space actually gets.

  • Full soil prep

Grading, tilling and raking the base, plus topsoil where the existing ground is too hard or thin to root in.

  • Tight, staggered install

Sod laid seam-to-seam in a brick pattern and rolled so there are no gaps, ridges or drying edges.

  • First-water walkthrough

We soak it in and show you the watering schedule for the critical first two weeks so it establishes right.

How it works

A straightforward path, start to finish

  1. 01

    Prep the ground

We clear the old lawn or weeds, correct the grade so water runs off, and loosen the surface for good root contact.

  2. 02

    Amend the soil

Where the clay is hard or the topsoil is thin, we blend in fresh soil so the new grass has something to grow into.

  3. 03

    Lay & roll

Fresh-cut sod goes down the same day it is delivered, seams staggered and rolled flat for solid contact.

  4. 04

    Water & hand off

We give it a deep first soak and leave you with a simple day-by-day watering plan for the first two weeks.

Questions

Good to know

Still wondering about something? Call or text (678) 662-3834 and we’ll talk it through.

Which grass is right for my yard?
It comes down to sun. Bermuda and Zoysia love full sun and heavy use; Fescue handles our shadier lots and stays green in cooler months; Centipede is low-maintenance for the right spot. We match it to your light and how you use the yard.
How soon can I walk on it?
Keep foot traffic light for the first two weeks while it roots. After the first mow — usually around two to three weeks — it is ready for normal use.
How much do I need to water new sod?
Daily and deep for the first week or two — new sod cannot dry out while it is rooting. We give you a specific schedule, and an irrigation system makes it effortless.
Can you sod just the bare or damaged spots?
Yes. We do full lawns and patch work both. For patches we blend the new sod into the existing grade so it does not sit high or low.
